We have a number or ways that parents and carers can get involved with Little Scholars nursery. We have a Parents Committee where you can be actively involved in discussion groups regarding the latest agenda whether it be on policies, outings or events. If you are unable to commit to the parent committee but have a suggestion or improvement idea, please either contact us or use the suggestion box within the foyer of the nursery. We also have an open door policy with management and staff always available to speak to you. We value your views and always happy to hear them.
We also have our Eco-committee which requires parents, carers or grandparents to get involved, whether it be helping us achieve our Gold award status, rolling your sleeves up and giving us a hand with gardening or providing advice, tips and help with growing plants. We are committee to helping make the planet a greener place and always keen to have people who can get onboard and support us with this.
Within the wider community we are always looking for additional support we can offer staff, parents or children. Recently we had Scottish Cot Death Trust deliver training to the staff and a literacy focus group did a singing session with the children. If you are involved in a charity or company and feel you can support us either by delivering a workshop to parents or training to staff please contact us.
Finally, we have events throughout the year such as the annual summer party, Halloween party, Christmas party, parents evening or other charity or funding raising events which we would encourage you to come along to and join in the fun.
