The Tweenie room is for children aged between 14 months and roughly 2 years. This room is headed up by Jackie, where she manages a team of 5 qualified staff. Being directly joined to the baby room we are able to provide a smooth transition for the children when they are moving from one room to the next. 

Using South Lanarkshire councils 'Together we can' document we plan for each and every individual child to encourage social skills and learning through play.

The focused areas in the playroom the children have the opportunity to explore all areas of learning, from early literacy, role play and crafts.

All equipment is bought for the age and developmental stage of the children to further develop their stage of learning.

The children are encouraged to explore different textures and experiences through their senses. With activities including sand, water, paint, gloop, playdough etc there are many opportunities available to the children.

Use of the sensory room further promotes the use of senses in the childrens learning; with specially selected resources, lights and music.
