Nikki is the supervisor in this room. Her team of staff work
closely with the parents sharing stories and information to allow staff to plan
to meet each childs needs.
This is a fun and active room where the pace of play needs to be very
responsive to the childrens interests at any one time. Staff and children sing
all day long and lots of cuddles are the order of the day.
Outdoor play is available throughout the day in the spacious nursery
garden and walks the local area are regularly taken.
Activities include a wide range of arts and crafts, sand, water, gloup,
imaginative area, books , jigsaws, construction toys, large physical toys,
computers, music and drama.
Toilet training is
usually on-going for most of the children and this is decided jointly with staff
and parents to ensure that everyone is working together supporting the children
at this time. Regular rests are needed especially after a hearty lunch, and fun
filled morning.
